Terms, Conditions and Cancellation Policy
When accepting a booking with PASS with KVG, you immediately agree to the terms, conditions and cancellation policy listed below.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
1.0 WHAT YOU MUST BRING
Please bring your provisonal driving licence to your first lesson. Failure to bring this will result having the lesson terminated with immediate effect. Thus resulting in the lesson being cancelled and charged to you.
1.2 Glasses or contact lenses that you may need whilst driving.
We cannot proceed with the lesson if you have not got your glasses or contact lenses with you. It is required by law that you wear them whilst driving. Driving without such items can be extremely dangerous to yourself, and others!
1.3 All, or any payment(s) MUST be sent to KVG before the driving lesson starts. Any payment(s) NOT received before the driving lesson starts will have the lesson halted, or terminated with immediate effect. HERE is some information on different payment methods available.
The driving lesson WILL be terminated, or halted with immidiate effect, and charged to you; if such events occur. (Applies to all 1. section terms above).

2.0 EYE SIGHT TEST
Before you are escourted into the driving tuition vehicle, you will be required to read a standard UK number plate from 20 metres. You will have three attempts to read the number plate.
If you cannot read the number plate after three attempts from the distance required, you WILL be asked to go to your local optician for an eye test.
Thus resulting in the lesson being terminated with immediate effect, and you WILL be charged for that driving lesson on the day.
The next driving lesson will be booked, after you have seen an eye specialist.
An eye sight test, reading a standard UK number plate from 20 metres WILL be conducted again, on the next meeting.
The eye sight test is required for everyone in the UK when driving a Category B vehicle (motor car), including when on your practical driving examination!

3.0 CANCELLATION POLICY
To cancel a/your driving lesson without being charged, you MUST give 48 HOURS notice before the start time of your lesson.
If you give less than 48 hours notice, you WILL have the driving lesson cancelled, and charged to YOU.
Once the lesson has been cancelled and charged, you will lose the hour(s) you cancelled as well.
3.1 You are able to shorten the length of your driving lesson at any time, even whilst your on the driving lesson itself!
I have introduced this rule just incase something has come up you have to attend to, or simply if you feel like just doing a shorter lesson. Shortening your driving lesson that was booked, WILL NOT result in any loss of hours.

4.0 INSTRUCTOR WAITING TIMES AND PUNCTUALITY
At PASS with KVG, I understand that you may be running late. I will allow upto 15 minutes wait time for you to arrive.
After 10 minutes, I will send you a text message to say the lesson has started, and that I am waiting outside the pickup address.
If I hear nothing from you after 15 minutes, I will leave your pickup address, and the driving lesson will be cancelled and charged to you!
4.1 However, a reciprocal waiting time may become necessary if I am delayed myself, due to unforeseen circumstances.

5.0 WEATHER AND CONDITIONS
Weather and conditions can vary from month to month.
When the weather is bad, such as lying snow and ice on the roads. ALL driving lessons will be postponed, until the weather improves.
I have put this measure in place, as it is a extreme safety hazard driving in such conditions; especially for learner drivers.
At PASS with KVG, safety is a priority at ALL times!
Listed below are types of weather that may affect your driving lessons, depending on the severity. Any lessons affected, WILL be postponed FREE of charge.
- Lying snow and/or ice on the roads and pavements
- Blizzards and Drifting
- Freezing rain
- Storm amber and red warnings issued by the Met Office
- Flood amber and red warnings issued by the Met Office
- Flood alerts and warnings issued by the Met Office
- Fog, and Freezing fog amber and red warnings issued by the Met Office
- Wind amber and red warnings issued by the Met Office
- Heatwave amber and red warnings issued by the Met Office
- Severe thunderstorms, lightning and extreme hailstorms
- Extreme heat and high humidity
- Severe gale and/or storm force winds
- Extreme heavy rain, causing local flooding
- Hurricanes
- Tornados
- Tsunamis
- Earthquakes
If the weather is poor, it is KVG's ultimate decision if the driving lesson is going ahead.

6.0 BAD LANGUAGE AND ATTITUDE
Abusive, rudeness, ill mannered, racist, or homophobic behavioiur by clients is NOT tolerated at PASS with KVG's driving tuition of motoring.
If any such behavior like this happens during a driving lesson, the lesson WILL be terminated immidiately! You WILL be returned home, charged for the lesson, and be removed from PASS with KVG's diary permenantley!

7.0 DRUGS AND ALCOHOL
At the beginning of a driving lesson, if I feel like you, the learner, has been under the influence of DRUGS or ALCOHOL within the last 48-72 hours, the driving lesson WILL be terminated with immediate effect, thus resulting you being charged!
It is extremely dangerous and AGAINST THE LAW to drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Hence why these safety methods are put in place here, at PASS with KVG!

8.0 INCENTIVE
When you pass your driving test with no minor (driving) faults, you WILL receive £20 in cash from KVG for fuel for your car on that day.
8.1 You do NOT have to pass the practical driving test first time to WIN this incentive!
8.2 However, you DO need to hold a VALID provisional driving licence in YOUR NAME, to WIN this incentive!

9.0 LESSON PRICES, INCREASES AND SPECIAL OFFERS
Driving lesson and bulk booking prices are subject to change. They can increase any time of the year, most likely in the month of April.
9.1 Certain periods of the year, I run special offers. However they can be withdrawn, or change at any anytime.
If any special offers are active, there will be a seperate web page added on this website, with all the offers at that time.
If no special offer webpage is active, then there are currently no special offers on at that time.
Special offers will also be notified on the Welcome page of the website, including the active incentive!

10.0 TUITION VEHICLE
You WILL respect the tuition vehicle AT ALL TIMES, like any other. Smoking and/or vaping are NOT permitted in the tuition vehicle AT ANY TIME.
However, if you do require a break, we will park somewhere safely, where you can exit the vehicle; and smoke or vape outside.
10.1 Any abuse of the tuition vehicle will result in the driving lesson being terminated with immediate effect, you will be charged for the lesson, and removed from my diary immediately!
Any damage anywhere you cause to the tuition vehicle whilst on a driving lesson, will be billed to YOU in FULL, once the invoice is received by the garage.

11.0 REFUSAL OF DRIVING TEST
If I as the instructor, feel that you are NOT ready for your practical driving examination, I am obliged to refuse to take you.
(This situation can happen when you book a driving test without MY approval).
I will let you know when you are close enough to test standard, to go ahead and book your practical driving test.
11.1 However, if you do wish to continue with your practical driving examination, you can use your OWN car, without my presence. Thus meaning you can take a family member along with you instead.
The family member who accompanys you to your prctical driving examination must be driving at least three years, and over 21 years of age.

12.0 REFUNDS
If you wish to stop driving lessons for a valid reason, or you have hours remaining after you have passed your practical driving test(12.1); you WILL be entitled to a full refund.
Your refund will be returned to you by the method you paid for driving lessons. (e.g) you paid for a 20 block of lessons via bank transfer. You will receive the refund to the same bank account you purchased lessons.
12.2 PLEASE NOTE Refunds that are submitted by bank account can take upto 3-5 WORKING days to clear in your account. Please allow this time frame to pass, unitl the refund has cleared to your account.
If, it has been MORE than FIVE WORKING days since your refund was issued, please contact PASS with KVG to chase the refund proccess.
12.3 If you purchased lessons via cash, you will get the refund in cash. In this case, to prove a refund has been given, the client and I will sign a declaration form, that they each keep, stating they have received the refund, for the amount they are due in cash.
The declaration form has been put in place to ensure the safey, liability and legitimacy of the business, including its clients and reputation.
12.4 PLEASE NOTE Refunds will only be accepted if it is a appropriate and valid reason, such as stated above in section (12.1).
Refunds will NOT be granted if it is NOT a valid reason.
In this scenario, you WILL complete ALL the driving lesson hours you booked in advance, with PASS with KVG.

13.0 COVID-19 REGULATIONS
COVID-19 remains a public health issue. If you contract COVID-19, your driving lesson will be postponed free of charge.
13.1 You WILL have to prove that you contracted COVID-19 by sending a photograph of either your rapid COVID test, or a text confirming that you are positive for the virus. This HAS to show the time and date of when the test was taken.
Failure to provide a date and time with the photo evidence of a positive rapid COVID test, will result in your lesson being cancelled and charged to you.
After 14 days of you contracting the virus, you may begin driving lessons again; if you feel well enough.
13.2
You may wear PPE during your driving lesson or practical driving test. Such as a face covering, gloves, visor, and goggles. You must be able to see clearly if you wear goggles., it must NOT affect your vision in ANY way.

14.0 YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in these terms and conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty goods or services provided.
I have a statutory obligation to provide you with goods and services, fit for the purpose for which they were bought and as described.
Similarly, any goods supplied by PASS with KVG must equally be fit for the purpose, for which they were bought, and as described.
If you have any doubts about your statutory rights, please contact your local Trading Standards Department, or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
